Congratulations to all the bond holders who recently completed their PADI courses with me to become qualified divers.
They all caught the diving bug after completing the Discover Scuba diving experience with me in Playa Jabillo here in Costa Teguise.
After their first experience we stayed in touch and scheduled the courses to become qualified to fit in with their next Santa Rosa holiday.
The new divers vary in age from 16 year old Emma, Maddy a 14 year old girl and her father Vincent, Simon´s two sons Tom and Dan, John and his son Jack, Richard and his son Billy and Adrian who after gaining his qualification to dive to 18 metres joined me on probably the best dive I have ever had.
During that dive in Flamingo bay down in Playa Blanca it was like swimming through a large Aquarium, we saw all the major species including Barracuda, Eagle rays, Angelotte, and to top it off a large Loggerhead turtle.
I have dived in the water off this beautiful island for 9 years now and have never had the pleasure of diving with a turtle, they are magnificent to watch gliding effortlessly through the water and watching the large schools of smaller fish moving out of it´s way, it literally takes your breath away.
Richard and Billy also enjoyed extra dives after qualifying with a dive on the stunning Atlantic Museum a set of 300 concrete sculptures which form an artificial reef that has become home to a huge array of marine life. Laura filmed them on their dive so they now have a great memento of the first dive as an Open water divers.
When I started Adventure Underwater the goal was to share and inspire people to take up diving and explore a beautiful space that most people will never see in real life, so many thanks to those 10 people for letting me take them on the first part of a journey and I hope you all continue to enjoy diving where ever you holiday in the future.
Explore and be safe!
